Me Alan Ovadia, founding attorney, brings with him over a decade of experience practicing law in Montreal, Quebec.   

 Me Alan Ovadia’s knowledge and experience is broad and includes areas of practice such as Business Law, Corporate & Commercial Law, Successions Law including Wills, Estates and Mandates, Intellectual Property Law with a focus on Trademark Law, Administrative Law and even Animal Law.

 Me Alan Ovadia has made representations and/or advocated on behalf of his clients before the Quebec Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada, the Superior Court of Quebec, the Court of Quebec and various administrative tribunals.

 Me Alan Ovadia has also been a registered Trademark Agent since 2011 and has acted on behalf of brand owners and other law firms in the course of brand protection and anti-counterfeiting efforts throughout Canada.  Over the years he has spoken at conferences and given training to RCMP, CBSA  and other law enforcement officers on how to identify counterfeit merchandise, as well as certain practical aspects of the Tradmarks Act, Copyright Act and Textile Labelling Act.  Me Ovadia has also acted as an Independent Supervising Solicitor in the context of Anton Piller Orders.

Unusual Career Fact: Alan has had acted in several administrative law files involving pets and other animals. He has defended the rights of dog owners against various municipalities and has, on multiple occasions, successfully intervened in order to suspend euthanasia orders.
